FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Remove the boot floor covering.1. Remove the plastic side panels and
back panel from the boot.
2. Dismantle the bumper. Remove the metal bumper beam from the rear
wall. This will not be re-placed.
3. Place the template on the bumper and saw out the indicated section as
indicated in fig. 1.
4. Remove the sealant from the points where the towbar was in contact the
vehicle.Remove the stickers from the fitting points. Place the towbar on
the chassis and secure it using four M10 x 30 self locking bolts including
backing plates (40x5 L=40mm). Place the two PE foam blocks as
sealing on the chassis members (see fig. 2). Tighten the bolts to the tor-
que indicated in the table.
5 Put the ball hitch in place and attach it at point A using one M12x75/31.2
bolt with flat washer and self-locking nut. Position the ball hitch in such
a way that the bumper fits over the ball. Fit the remaining ball bolt at
point B using one M12x75/31.2 bolt with flat washer and self-locking nut.
Tighten this last bolt to the torque indicated in the table.
6. Replace the parts removed in step 1.

NOTE:
* Should this installation process entail the cutting of the bumper –
conformation MUST be obtained by the installation engineer of
the customer's acceptance prior to completion. Brink International
do not accept responsibility for any matters arising as a result of
this miscommunication.
* The customer should always refer to the vehicle Manufacturers hand-
book when towing.
* Remove the insulating material from the contact area of the fitting
points.
* Consult your dealer for the maximum tolerated pull weight and ball
hitch pressure of your vehicle.
* Remove (if present) the plastic caps from the spot welding nuts.
* This fitting instruction has to be enclosed in the vehicle documents after
fitting the towbar.

60 Nm (self-locking)

71 Nm (with self-locking nut)
