Model APS-25-CL REMOTE CONTROL AUTO SECURITY SYSTEM Installation Manual PRE-INSTALLATION NOTES: AUTO LOCK / UNLOCK : DIP SWITCH #1 The system is shipped with this feature activated. Any time the ignition key is turned to the off position, the doors will automatically unlock. Any time the ignition key is turned to the on position, the doors will automatically lock. - Page 3 CHANNEL 3 OUTPUT (Transmitter Only): The transmitters included in this alarm incorporate an additional independent 3rd radio frequency channel. Although the alarm module will only respond to 2 channels, the 3rd frequency can be programmed to an optional garage door interface (AS-9154).

VALET SWITCH: Select a desired mounting location for the switch, that is easily accessible to the driver of the vehicle. The switch does not have to be concealed, however, concealing the switch is always recommended, as this provides an even higher level of security to the vehicle. The switch may be mounted below the dash using one of the brackets provided, or mounted in the dash by drilling a 1/4"... -

ORANGE WIRE: GROUND OUTPUT WHEN ARMED This wire is provided to control the starter cut relay. Connect the orange wire to terminal 86 of the relay , and wire the remaining relay contacts as shown in the wiring diagram. IMPORTANT: Audiovox does not recommend using this relay to interrupt the ignition wire. Model APS-25-CL GUÍA DE INSTALACIÓN DE SEGURIDAD DE AUTOMÓVILES A CONTROL REMOTO NOTAS DE PREINSTALACIÓN: TRABADO / DESTRABADO AUTOMÁTICO: INTERRUPTOR DIP #1 El sistema ya viene con esta función activada. Cada vez que se apague la llave de contacto (posición “off”), las puertas se destrabarán automáticamente. Cada vez que se encienda la llave de contacto (posición “on”), las puertas se trabarán automáticamente. - Page 15 CANAL 3: (TRANSMISOR ÚNICAMENTE) Los transmisores incluidos en esta alarma tiene un tercer canal de radiofrecuencia independiente. Si bien el módulo de la alarma responderá solamente a 2 canales, la 3ra. frecuencia puede programarse para una interfaz opcional de puerta de garaje (AS-9154). La AS-9154 tiene su propio receptor programable incorporado y está diseñada para operar con la mayoría de los dispositivos automáticos para abrir puertas de garaje.

MÓDULO DE CONTROL: Seleccione un lugar de instalación dentro del compartimiento de pasajeros (arriba detrás del tablero), y fijelo usando los dos tornillos incluidos. El módulo de control puede también fijarse en su lugar empleando ligaduras de alambre. El módulo de control no debe instalarse en el compartimiento del motor puesto que no es a prueba de agua. También debe evitarse montar la unidad directamente sobre componentes electrónicos instalados en fábrica. -
