Notes on charging operation
• Charging processes vary in length. The charging process of a large battery with a capacity of e.g., 230 Ah,
depending on the condition of the battery (battery is old or new; battery is flat or deeply discharged, etc.), may be
very long.
• During the initial phase of the charging process, the development of the voltage situation is monitored. If the
voltage of a 12 v battery is higher than 10.5 v (24 v battery over 21 v), the charger switches to the charging
programme selected before.
• The charger detects automatically if you connected a 12 v or 24 v battery. A battery with a voltage between 4.5 v
to 10.5 v is detected as 12 v battery. A battery with a voltage between 16 v to 21 v is detected as 24 v battery.
Displaying the charging status
The charging progress display (12) shows the current operating condition using 4 LEDs:
