Intended use

The pallet truck is intended for both manual lifting/lowering and the manual transporting of loads. Its use
requires a level and firm floor/ground surface.
The pallet truck, with forks for independent lifting of loads, is intended for on-site transporting of unit loads,
e.g. in warehouses associated with industry and delivery companies etc., for short range transporting of
standard and wire mesh pallets as well as other palletised loads.
It is not suitable for use in potentially explosive locations.
Use in hostile environments:
The stability of the materials concerning corrosion resistance and suitability is to be checked and
examined by the operator, in dependency of the contacts (aggressions, humidity, and ambient
temperature) and/or hygienic requirements (for example pure space conditions, lactic acid etc.).
The pallet truck INOX and GALINOX must be cleaned after each use and/or daily. A proper cleaning
with clear fresh water (hosed down) is required. This has to happen independently of the kind of the
aggressive medium.
Materials – Resistance to corrosion (INOX - Pallet truck):
Polyamide e.g. Rollers and wheels
NBR (rubber) e.g. Joints
Inox 316 (1.4401) e.g. Chassis, tie bar, pump-housing, drive-rod, forks etc.)
Inox 321 (1.4541)
Inox 304 (1.4301
For hygienic reasons, the fork of the INOX is made without recesses at the load surface.
Attention: Contact with iron may cause extraneous rust!
Surface treating (GALINOX - Pallet truck):
hot-galvanized 100 µ (Chassis)
Pump and tie bar zinc-plated (20µ), yellow chromated A 6 C
All surface coatings free of Cadmium.
Alterations to the pallet truck and the addition of auxiliary units are only permitted with our express
written approval.
Ensure that you take note of the technical data and details on functional characteristics!
Regulations for prevention of accidents
The pallet truck must be used and operated as intended and in accordance with relevant
regulations.
The current regulations of the country in which it is used must be complied with.
In Germany these are currently:
EC Directive 2006/42/EC
German UVV safety standard BVG D 27
EC Directive EN 1757-2
1)
in the respective current version
It is essential that the operating instructions below and the BVG D27 regulations for
prevention of accidents be carefully read through before starting use.
