Application and function

The DALIeco BT RTC controller enables daytime-controlled, automatic changes in color temperature and brightness of luminaires with
DALI device type 8 (DT8) light sources with adjustable color temperature (Tunable White). A smartphone (Android or iOS) can be used
to adjust individual parameters via Bluetooth
. Time-controlled automatic mode is enabled when the real-time clock is synchronized by

pairing with your smartphone. In addition to smartphone control, the light can also be switched on and off and dimmed with a directly
connected standard push button with a normally open contact (make contact) or with a push button connected via the OSRAM DALI
coupler. A second push button to change the color temperature can be connected (see wiring scheme for details). If OSRAM DALI sensors
are connected, the light can also be controlled in relation to daylight and presence or can be dimmed or switched off automatically after a
specified time delay.
A connection with the smartphone app is required to use the HCL functions (to synchronize the time switch). Only the plug & play
functions that can be used without a smartphone are described in the following operating instructions. Other functions are
explained in the respective smartphone app.
1. Operation without sensors
Switch the lighting ON and OFF
Make a short press to the push button.
Dimming the lighting brighter or darker
Make a long press to the push button, dimming direction changes with every button press.
Storing a fixed Switch On Level (= Memory-Wert)
• Switch on the lighting and dim to the desired level.
• Push the button briefly two times (=double click). Storage of the switch on level is confirmed by a two times blinking.
Deleting a fixed Switch On Level
• Switch off the lighting.
• Push the button briefly two times (=double click). Deletion of the switch on level is confirmed by a two times blinking. Subsequently
the last level before switch off will be used as switch on level.

2. Operation with sensors

When sensors are connected light will be switched on automatically when the detection area is entered, if a set point for the daylight
dependent regulation is stored, automatic switch on will only take place, if artificial light is required. 15min after leaving the detection
area, the light will be dimmed and switched off. If a set point is stored, light will be regulated according available daylight after switch
on by push button or sensor. If the amount of daylight exceeds the set point value for some minutes, the light will be switched off and
at diminishing daylight automatically on again; if persons are still within the detection area.
Switch the lighting ON and OFF manually
Make a short press to the push button. In case of a set point is stored, a manual switch on by the push button will automatically start
the daylight dependent regulation.
Dimming the lighting brighter or darker
Make a long press to the push button, dimming direction changes with every button press. The daylight dependent regulation is tempo-
rarily interrupted until the next switch on via push button or sensor.
Storing a set point for the daylight dependent regulation
Dim the light level to the desired brightness manually and store the brightness by two subsequent short presses (= Double click). The storage
process takes approx. 5s. Within this period the light level is set to 100% first, then temporary switches off, the process is completed
when the light switches on again. To avoid false measurements, no persons should be below the sensor within the storage process period.
Hint: Storage of a set point should be done with no ambient light or at a low ambient light level.
Deleting the set point for the daylight dependent regulation
Switch off the light by a short push and then delete the set point by two subsequent short pushes (= Double click). Deletion is confirmed
by a two times blinking.
3. Control by smart phone
Via the integrated bluetooth interface an
additional control by smart phone is possible.
To do this, install the corresponding APP
OSRAM BT CONTROL.
4. Configuration by Smart Phone:
Individual parameters can be adjusted on a
smartphone via the integrated Bluetooth interface.
To do this, install the corresponding APP
OSRAM BT CONFIG.
