PRE-OPERATION CHECKS
Before using this machine }lease check the following points:

Brake Check operation/adjustment]brake shoes. 5-2, 8-14 _ 8-15
Fuel tank Check fuel level/top-up as required. 5-2
Enigne oil Check oil level/top-up as required. 5-3, 8-5 _ 8-6
Throttle Check for proper throttle cable operation. 5-3
Wheels and tires Check tire pressure/wear. 5-4 _ 5-5, 8-17 _ 8-1E
Fittings/fasteners Check all - tighten as necessary. 5-3, 8-4
Battery Check fluid level, top-up with distilled water if necessary. 5-3, 8-18 _ 8-20

Pre-operation checks should be made each time the machine is used. Such an inspection can be
thoroughly accomplished in a very short time, and the added safety it assures is more than worth
the time involved.
