WHO SHOULD NOT USE THE YOUTH ACTIVATOR

(CONTRAINDICATIONS)

DO NOT use if you have an implanted pacemaker,
arrhythmias or any other severe known heart disorder.
DO NOT use if you have any implantable metal device
or body piercing in the treatment area.
DO NOT use if you have any blood clotting disorders or
are taking blood thinning medications.
DO NOT use if you have a history of skin cancer or
areas of potential skin malignancies. Use of the device
has not been tested in areas with skin cancer and
therefore the effects are unknown.
DO NOT use over thyroid gland (neck area).
DISCONTINUE USE if you encounter any discomfort or
skin redness that lasts for more than 24 hours.
You may have sensitivity to light or another condition.
Consult with your healthcare provider.
WARNINGS
DO NOT use the YOUTH ACTIVATOR over any areas that
are not recommended in this user manual.
DO NOT use the YOUTH ACTIVATOR on eyelids, eyebrows,
lips or ears.
DO NOT use the YOUTH ACTIVATOR without the YOUTH
ACTIVATOR Contouring Serum. The device will not
operate properly if used without the serum or with
another product.
DO NOT use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
DO NOT use if you have experienced a migraine in the
last two years.
DO NOT use if you are sensitive to light:
• Some diseases can be related to photosensitivity
including porphyria, polymorphic light eruption, solar
urticarial and lupus.

• Some medications can be related to photosensitivity
including: NSAIDS, steroids, antibiotics, phenothiazine,
thiazide, diuretics, sulfonylurates, sulfonamides, DTIC,
fluorouracil, vinblastine, griseofulvin, Alpha-Hydroxy
Acids (AHAs), Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHAs), Retin-A,
Accutane, topical retinoids and/or Azelaic acid.
• Undergoing radiation or chemotherapy treatments.
These conditions can make the skin more sensitive to
light and more susceptible to injury. Consult with your
doctor.
DO NOT use if you have an active skin condition in
the treatment area including sores, psoriasis, eczema,
sunburns, herpes simples, open wounds or a rash.

DO NOT use over dark brown or black spots such as
large freckles, birthmarks, moles or warts on the area to
be treated.
DO NOT use over or near a steroid injection received
within the last six months. Doing so may result in a

parts that may present as a choking hazard for young
children.
In order to reduce the risk of electric shock that may
cause injury or death:
• KEEP AWAY from water (including bath or shower).
If the unit accidentally falls into water, unplug
immediately.
• DO NOT place or store the device where it can fall or
be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not place in or drop
into water or other liquid.
• NEVER OPERATE this device if it has a damaged cord,
if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or
damaged, or submerged in water. Return the device to
Iluminage Beauty Inc. for examination.
