General precautions

After the scrambler board has been installed, the system automatically starts to
work every time the power is turned ON to encrypt the data. When the equipment
works properly, so does the security function of the scrambler board. For optimum
performance, pay attention to the following points and take the appropriate action.
- Managing highly confidential data
We recommend you to use the equipment only after confirming that the security
function works properly. See the next page for "Confirming the operation of the
security function".
- When "Call for service" appears
If the scrambler board is stolen or the security function
is out of order, "Call for service" appears on the touch
panel. Operation is no longer possible while this
message is displayed. The machine administrator
needs to contact your service technician.
* "Call for service" sometimes appears due to causes other than the
above.
