    General precautions After the scrambler board has been installed, the system automatically starts to work every time the power is turned ON to encrypt the data. When the equipment works properly, so does the security function of the scrambler board. For optimum performance, pay attention to the following points and take the appropriate action.

    Confirming the operation of the security function When the [USER FUNCTIONS] button on the control panel of the equipment is pressed, the following menu is displayed. After the scrambler board has been installed, is displayed on the lower right- hand side of the screen. It shows the scrambler board is working properly (encrypting the data to the hard disk drive properly).

    To the machine administrator You are responsible for the management of the equipment, such as at the time of the installation of the scrambler board, the operation of the security function, and replacing or disposing of it. When the scrambler board is installed, make sure that you go through the following 9 items.

    This key code is valuable information in order to maintain the security of the scrambler board (GP-1040). If this information is leaked to anyone else, the code will be decrypted and your confidential information may not be safe. The key code cannot be reissued in terms of security.

    Entering the key code The key code should be entered by the machine administrator. The service technician unpacks and performs all settings except the key code entry. When the service technician asks you to enter the key code, follow the procedure below. * Be especially careful that no one sees the key code when you enter it.

Quando richiesto dal tecnico dell’assistenza, attenersi alla seguente procedura per immettere il codice. * Quando si immette il codice, assicurarsi di non essere visti da estranei.

    Sostituzione o smaltimento dell’apparecchiatura Quando occorre sostituire o smaltire l’apparecchiatura, l’amministratore del sistema deve rivolgersi al tecnico dell’assistenza.
