Press the On/Off button to switch the thermometer on. „188.8E" appears in the display,
confirming that the thermometer is working.

Choose how the temperature should be measured. Rectal measurement is the most accurate
and suitable for both infants and children. Axillary measurements are not as accurate.

When used rectally, the temperature sensor must be inserted 1 to 2 cm.
Vaseline can be used for lubrication.
The measuring time is 30 seconds.
The normal body temperature is about 37°C - 98.6°F.

When used axillary (armpit), insert the temperature sensor in the armpit.
Press and fix with the arm.
The measuring time is 3-5 minutes.
The normal body temperature is about 36.5°C - 98.1°F.
Note: The body temperature is different for all humans and changes during
the day. You are therefore advised to measure the temperature at a specific
time in the morning.

Start the measurement when the screen displays „Lo °C" or „Lo °F". During measurement,
the symbol „°C" or „°F" will flash while the temperature increases. When a maximum value is
reched, the symbol „°C" or „°F" ceases to flash. A buzzing sound that lasts about 10 seconds
indicates that the measurement is completed.
10 Acoustic signals at 10 second intervals means that the measured temperature is
normal (below 37.8 °C).
3 sets of short beeps at 10 second intervals means a possible fever
(measured temperature above 37.8°C).

When the display reads „Lo °C" or „Lo °F", the measured temperature is below
32.0°C/90°F.

When the display reads „Hi °C" or „Hi °F", the measured temperature is above
43.0°C/109.9°F

Press the On/Off button to turn the thermometer off.
Note: The thermometer switches off automatically after 10 minutes.
Switch the thermometer off directly after use to prolong battery life.
REC ALLING THE L AST TEMPER ATURE
Press and hold the On/Off button for about 2 seconds when switching the thermometer on.
The last temperature measured will be displayed. This is indicated by the letter „M" displayed
under the degree symbol. After 3 seconds, the display reads 37.0°C and is ready to take a new
measurement.
CLEANING
The thermometer is waterproof and can be cleaned with water, sterilization lotion or a soft cloth.

The battery must be replaced when the display becomes indistinct or
