2. CHAPTER 2
2.1.

SAFETY DEVICES

The LIVI motoreducer must be connected to an electronic device with electric or electronic power control in order to
guarantee antibuck-ling safety (see the instructions for this equipment for its adjustment).
For totally safe operation of the horizontally pivoted door, the LIVI motoreducer should be combined with the accessories
listed in Section 3.4.
WARNING
Since the LIVI motoreducer has no clutch, a control panel with electric power adjustment must be
used. Models 901, 901 L, 903 and 903 L include appropriate electronic equipment.
To contribute further to automation safety, the door structure must comply with the Standards and
Laws in force in the country where it is installed.
3. CHAPTER 3
3.1.

PREPARATION TESTS FOR THE HORIZONTALLY PIVOTED DOOR

Successful automation for a horizontally pivoted door depends on its mechanics complying with precise building and
functional prerequisites, which could cause problems if not strictly met.
A horizontally pivoted door must be able to open manually without any hindrance.
3.2.

CHOICE OF AUTOMATION

The choice as to the use of one or two motoreducers is very important for automation to be successful, and depends on the
size of the shutters to be moved (see technical data).
For a hinged door of an area of up to 9 sq m, install only one LIVI motoreducer (Fig. 3)
For a hinged door of an area larger than 9 sq m, install two LIVI motoreducers (Fig. 4)
For a hinged door with a hatch door, install two LIVI motoreducers (Fig. 5).
For a folding hinged door, follow the instructions shown in Fig. 6.
3.3.

CHOICE OF INSTALLATION ACCESSORIES

A number of accessories are available for the different modes of installation. They are shown in Fig. 1 and described in what
follows:
Art. 950 – Straight telescopic arm (40x10 tube); to use when the distance between the arm and the counterweight box
is greater than 15 mm (Fig. 7)
Art. 950V – Straight telescopic arm, like art. 950, for installation with screws;
Art. 951 – Curved telescopic arm (40x10 tube); to use only when the distance between the arm and the counterweight
box is less than 15 mm (Fig. 8)
Art. 951V – Curved telescopic arm, like art. 951, for installation with screws;
Art. 952B – Set of two tubes with bushing (for central mounting)
Art. 953L – Fixing plate 2 meters long (for central monitoring)
Art. 955 – Tube support (for central mounting)
Art. 954 – Grooved bushing (for lateral mounting)
Art. 960F – Doorstop kit
3.4.

SELECTION OF THE SAFETY DEVICES

WARNING
The selection, the setting up and the installation of the components and of the safety devices have to
be made according to UNI 8612 safety rules, or to the rules of the installation country.
The following NEXT SYSTEMS equipment is available:
Electronic control panel (mass produced for models 901 and 901L),
Electronic panel with antibuckling system (mass produced for models 903 and 903L),
Pneumatic ribs in 30 mm aluminum (Art. 122 - Fig. 9),
Pneumatic relay for ribs with NC contact (Art. 120 - Fig. 9).
All the electrical safety devices can be driven by a NEXT SYSTEMS control equipment.
It is necessary to check the safety devices periodically.
