ASSEMBLY

• First fi t the bracket using screws and, dependent
on the surface, plugs if required. The holes in the
plate serve as the template.
• Ensure that an earthed power point is present
in the direct vicinity of the device or use an ap-
proved earthed extension lead with the correct
power rating.
• Remove the bottom tray by pulling out the knob,
this allows the tray to be slid from the device.
• Open the grill by pushing it upward and releasing
the catches at the top.
• Remove each fl uorescent tube from its packag-
ing (please note, do not remove the anti-shatter-
ing foil!), slot it into place and turn it through 90°
(a quarter of a turn) until a click is heard.

MAINTENANCE

• Always remove the plug from the power point
before cleaning or replacing the plate or the fl u-
orescent tubes.
• Ensure that the adhesive plate does not become
too full. Replace the plate regularly. These plates
are available from your supplier in sets of 10.

maximum every two months as they dry out and

WARRANTY

With the exception of normal wear and failure of
the lights, any defect in the functionality of the ap-
pliance which becomes apparent within one year
of purchase will be corrected by free repair or re-
placement provided the appliance has been used
and maintained in accordance with the instructions
and has not been abused or misused in any way.
Your statutory rights are not affected. If the appli-

At the end of the life of the appliance, please dis-
pose of the appliance according to the regulations
and guidelines applicable at the time.
• The adhesive plate is covered by protective foil.
Carefully remove this foil and slide the plate into
place from below (with the glue layer in front),
until it is held in position by the two metal clips
at the top.
• Replace the grill and pull slightly downwards.
Check whether both catches are in place.
• Replace the bottom tray and lock it.
• Plug the power cable into the socket on the de-
vice and plug the other end into an earthed power
point. The red power light burns.
• If the device fails to operate, check if the fl uores-
cent tubes are correctly fi tted.
• You can now slide the insect killer over the
bracket.

cent tubes also emit UV light that is invisible to
humans. The fl uorescent tubes deteriorate with
age, especially in the UV range. We therefore rec-
ommend that they be replaced every year.
