Measurements on the temple/forehead:
Please note that the ambient temperature outside of the ear may
influence the measurement result. The cooler the ambient
temperature, the cooler the skin is, i.e. the measurement may be
0.5-0.6 °C below that of the temperature in the ear. Alternatively,
you can also take a measurement from the temple or forehead.
• Hold the sensor (A) directly on the temple. Press the On/Off
button (D) briefly. You will hear an acoustic signal. This
confirms the measurement. You can now read the result from
the LCD display (E).
Changing the display from °C / °F:
This temple and ear thermometer can be altered from Celsius
to Fahrenheit.
• Hold down the On/Off button (D) and press the save button (C)
briefly. (See fig. 5.1 and 5.2)
Meaning of the face symbols:
In the case of a result below 38 degrees Celsius a smiling face will
appear on the LCD display (E), in contrast, a sad face is displayed
at temperatures above 38 degrees, with 2 acoustic signals also
heard. (See fig. 6 and 7)
Error message on the LCD display:
The measurement temperature of the device lies between 10°
and 50° Celsius. In the event of a result below 10 degrees «Lo»
appears, at over 50 degrees «Hi» is displayed (see fig. 8 and 9).
