OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The meanings of the symbols can be found on pages 20 and 21 of
this instruction manual.
Switching on the temple and ear thermometer:
• Press the On/Off button (D) for one second, the device is
switched on following calibration.
• After calibration "M1" or "M2" (memory position 1 or memory
position 2) appears on the display (fig.2). Press the On/Off
button (D), if you wish to move from one memory position to the
other. The most recent measurement is displayed after 2
seconds.
Switching off the temple and ear thermometer:
• Hold down the On/Off button (D) for approximately 5 seconds.
The device is switched off automatically after one minute.
Measurements in the ear (most accurate measurement):
• Introduce the sensor (A) deep into the ear. The sensor (A) must
be positioned in the ear canal in order to record the sustained
heat of the eardrum (See fig. 3).
• Press the On/Off button (D) briefly. You will hear an acoustic
signal. Remove the temple and ear thermometer in order to
read the results on the display (fig.4).
