Modbus data format
The card Modbus address is the value of the Mbus primary address of the 1-247 meter. The Modbus card supports only
function 08 (Echo) and function (03) with reading of nn registers (up to 16h) from a specified register. CF in single meter =
Register h0000 to Register h000E
CF in combined meter = Register h0000 to Register h0010. Encoding order IEEE 32 MSB float bytes is 1, 2, 3, 4.
Alarm data on the meter are returned in format 999999 (decimal) in Modbus. Optional data (water meter and air conditioning
index) are returned with a value at 000000 (decimal) when they are not available in the CF. Negative values are transmitted in
absolute values.

Communication priority
The Modbus card is configured on power up.
The Modbus data returned are updated with the meter data every minute. Communication priority is given to the optical
connector, in which case Modbus data remain on the latest meter values read prior to optical communication
