VISION SOLAR – Digital window thermometer with solar lighting
Installation
• Fix the holder with the enclosed adhesive outside at the window. Please clean the
window glass before. Now you can hang up and demount the thermometer very
easily.
• Attention! The display is delicate! Do not pull or bend when removing the plate or
demounting the thermometer.
Getting started
• Remove the holder
• Pull off the protection foil on the display.
• Open the battery compartment by a screw driver.
• Insert the batteries (left: rechargeable battery 1 x 1,2 V AAA for the illumination;
right: battery 1 x 1,5 V AAA for general functions) into the battery compartment,
observing the correct polarity.
• Close the battery compartment again.
• All LCD segments will light up for about a few seconds
• The unit is now ready to use.
• 0:00 appears on the display and the DST symbol
• During Daylight Saving Time, press +1 button for confirmation while the symbol
is flashing and the DST symbol
• During standard time press +1 button once again and the DST symbol
pears.
• Is there no confirmation within 15 seconds the DST symbol
disappears.
• For a simple time switch with only one keypress you have to have a correct setting
(see point: Daylight Saving Time / Standard Time switch).
Manual setting of clock
• Press MODE button and the hour digits in the upper display are flashing.
• Press +1 button to adjust hours.
• Confirm with MODE button.

• The minute digits are flashing. Press +1 button to adjust minutes.
• Holding +1 button, you will enter fast mode.
• Confirm with MODE button.
Display change °C/°F
• Press +1 button to change from °C (Celsius) to °F (Fahrenheit) as temperature unit.
• At the same time the time system changes from 24 to 12 hour-system. AM or PM
appears on the display.
Daylight Saving Time / Standard Time switch
• Press +/-1hr and the Daylight Saving Time is changing to Standard Time and vice
versa (+/- 1 hour).
• Please pay attention to the correct setting at the startup procedure.
Backlight
• The supplied battery will be recharged in an environmentally friendly manner by
the solar cells. For a sufficient backlight the solar panel should have 8 - 10 hours
daylight.
• With the ECO slide it is possible to turn the time controlled illumination on (left) or
off (right)
• Is the time controlled illumination on, the light turns on automatically between
disap-
5.00 and 9.00 o'clock and between 19.00 and 23.00 o'clock, when the solar panel
indicates darkness. Please set the actual time to activate this function.
• If the ECO mode is not active the illumination will turn on automatically as soon as
the solar panel indicates darkness.
• When the battery symbol appears on the display, the voltage of the rechargeable
battery is low and the back light function can be temporarily disabled, until the
power supply by the solar cells is sufficient again.
Temperature display
• The middle display shows the current temperature and the lower display minimum
and maximum temperature.
