3. SAFETY WARNINGS
When using electrical appliances, always
respect the basic safety guidelines in order to
reduce the risk of fires, electric shocks and/or
injury. These guidelines include the following
measures:
• Before using the appliance for the first
time, read these instructions carefully and
keep them for future consultation.
• Before using for the first time, check that
the main voltage coincides with that
indicated on the appliance's characteristics
plate.
• This appliance is designed for domestic
use only. Any other use is considered
inappropriate and therefore dangerous.
• The electrical safety of the appliance is
guaranteed only when connected to an
efficient earth installation, as stipulated in
current electrical safety regulations. The
manufacturer accepts no responsibility for
damage derived from a failure to connect
the appliance to an earth installation. If in
doubt, contact a qualified professional.
• To protect against electric shocks, do not
submerge the appliance, the cable or the
plug in water or any other liquid.
• The user should never try to replace the

cable. If the cable were to become
damaged or need replacing, this should
be carried out only by a Technical
Assistance Service authorised by the
manufacturer, since the task requires
special tools.
• Never use any electrical appliance if the
cable or plug are damaged or if the
appliance does not work properly or has
been damaged in any way. Take the
appliance to an authorised technical
service for examination, repair or
adjustment.
• Do not let the cable hang over the edge of
the table or worktop, or come into contact
with the appliance's hot surfaces.
Regularly check the power cable for
damage.
• Do not leave the appliance on or near a
gas burner or electric hotplate, inside or
near a hot oven or a microwave oven.
• In the event of failure and/or improper
working, turn the appliance off and do not
attempt to repair it. Contact an authorised
Technical Assistance Centre and request
that they use original replacement parts
and accessories.
• Do not pull on the power cable to remove
the plug from the socket.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended
while on and make sure it is kept out of
the reach of children or the disabled.
• DO NOT TOUCH THE HOT SURFACES.
USE THE HANDLES PROVIDED.
• WARNING: WHEN THE APPLIANCE IS
SWITCHED ON IT REACHES VERY
HIGH TEMPERATURES. TAKE THE
NECESSARY MEASURES TO AVOID
THE RISK OF BURNS, FIRES AND
OTHER INJURIES OR DAMAGE TO
PROPERTY CAUSED BY CONTACT
WITH THE SIDES OR TOP OF THE
APPLIANCE DURING USE OR
COOLING.
• Do not use this appliance outside.
• Unplug the appliance while not in use or
before carrying out any maintenance or
cleaning operation.
• Wait for the appliance to cool completely
before cleaning and storing.
• Do not use abrasive products or caustic or
oven cleaners to clean the appliance.
