ASSEMBLY
 This machine is packed in two separate cartons, the
handle assembly in one, base in the other.
 Since the Galaxy is available in a variety of voltages and
frequencies, it is important to ensure that the correct
handle is installed with the correct base. The base part
number and the handle part number it goes with are
stated on the nameplate affixed to the base motor. The
part number of the handle assembly is noted on the part
number decal affixed to the handle.
Correct combinations are as follows:
 120 Volt Handle Assembly, part number 0394011 must
be used with the following bases:

 To assemble the machine, simply remove the two
sections from their cartons, and perform three (3) easy
steps:
1. After removing the handle assembly from the
carton, position the handle (1) at a 90° angle to the
frame (2). Lock the handle in the upright position
by pushing down on the locking lever (3). Slide the
frame into the area between the motor and the
skirt; the spacers will automatically align the holes
for fastening.

2. Tip the machine back on to the handle. Insert the
washers and bolts as shown. Leave the bolts
finger tight until all have been started, then tighten
with a ½" socket wrench.
A tank for dispensing solution for cleaning bare
floors or for dispensing shampoo for carpet
scrubbing is available (see the accessories page
included in the Illustrated Parts List for details).
Assembly instructions for this accessory are
included with the tank.
3. Plug the handle cord and the motor cord
together, cover with plastic tube cover.
Once assembled attach the pad or brush, unwrap
the cord from the handle, plug in the machine, you
are now ready to operate the machine.
