MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP
In order to guarantee accurate measurements, the device
should be cleaned after each use.
Use a cotton pad wetted with a 75% rubbing alcohol solution
to remove any residual dirt. Take at least 5 seconds to clean
the probe. Then clean the other parts of the appliance using a
soft dry cloth for at least 10 seconds. After cleaning, make sure
there are no visible dirt or residues on the thermometer, and
wait for 10 minutes before taking the measurement.
To avoid damaging the instrument or its parts, use soft mate-
rials for cleaning.

Why should the device be sanitised after each measure-
ment?
This is necessary because infrared thermometers use a highly
sensitive technique to measure temperature. Not only is the
accuracy of the measurement affected by the presence of ear
wax and/or dust, but an inadequately sanitised device may
also spread infection.
The product packaging is made of recyclable materials.
It must be disposed of in compliance with local regula-
tions.
For environmental reasons, the appliance must not be
discarded with normal household waste at the end of its
service life. It must be taken to an appropriate disposal
facility. Dispose of the appliance in accordance with Eu-
ropean Directive 2012/19/EU regarding waste electrical
and electronic equipment. For further information or
clarification, contact the local authority responsible for
waste disposal.
