1. Brief description
The KK 204 and KK 205 capsule heads are combined with the Sennheiser SKM 2000
handheld transmitter to create wireless microphones. These capsule heads are derived
from the Neumann wired vocal microphones, and feature the same basic design and
the same essential acoustic properties.
The KK 204 capsule head has a cardioid directional characteristic, while the KK 205
has a supercardioid directional characteristic.
The key features are:
• very clean, open sound reproduction, free of coloration
• very low sensitivity to handling noise
• integrated, highly eff ective protection against pop noise
• low self-noise
Since vocal microphones are typically addressed at close range, the bass frequency
response is equalized so as to compensate for the proximity eff ect (see frequency
response).

and the receiver require version 1.4.4 (or later versions) of the Sennheiser Firmware
Package, series 2000. For the upgrading process, the upgrade fi rmware and Wireless
Systems Manager version 3.3 (or later), can be found at:

2. Cleaning
For cleaning, unscrew the upper part of the headgrille. The foam insert of the upper
part of the grille can be removed for cleaning.
The grille and foam insert can be cleaned with soap solution (standard dishwashing
detergent). Aft er washing, rinse with clean water and dry.
Disassembly and cleaning of the lower grille should be performed only by qualifi ed
service personnel.
