2.5.4 MINIMUM CLEARANCE FOR POSITIONING
THE AIR INTAKE
The combustion air intake of the pellet stove cannot be con-
nected to an air distribution system or to a wall air intake. The
described measures and requirements must be complied
with to ensure its correct and safe positioning. These distanc-
es must be observed to prevent taking combustion air from
another source; for example, opening a window can suck out
the outside air, depriving the stove of it.
The air intake must be located at least at:

FLUE GAS EXHAUST DUCT


The pipes must ALWAYS be installed according to the
standards and instructions of the manufacturer and any-
way with the silicon gasket supplied to guarantee its seal-
ing.
• IT is prohibited to install dampers or other valves that can
obstruct the flue gas exhaust.
• IT is prohibited to install one flue in which flue gas or
vapours of other appliances (boilers, hoods, etc.) are ex-
hausted.

PIPES AND MAXIMUM USABLE LENGTHS

Pipes made of painted aluminised steel (minimum thickness
1.5 mm), stainless steel (Aisi 316) with a 100 mm diameter (for
pipes inside the flue max. 150 mm). Hoses (made of stainless
steel with smooth internal wall) can be used if they fall within
the limits set forth by law; the male-female coupling collars
must have a minimum length of 50 mm. The diameter of the
pipes depends on the type of system.
