GENERAL

1.1 Disclaimers

This product was manufactured by respecting rigorous technical safety rules in accordance with EC stan-
dards. The EC declaration can be downloaded from the website (Internet address given on the last page).
Before installing and using this product, carefully read these instructions, which contain important informa-
tion for your safety and those of users during installation, start up and servicing of this product. Once the
installation is completed, keep this manual with the machine for future consultation.
The installation of this product (implementation, connections, start up, maintenance) and all other inter-
ventions must be performed by a professional applying recognised good practices, standards and safety
rules in force. It must conform to the prescriptions related to the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and
low voltage (LV) directives.
We recommend to all persons exposed to risks to scrupulously respect the accident prevention standards.
S&P may not be held liable for any possible incurred injuries and/or damages if the safety instructions were
not respected or following the modification of a product.
The CACB boxes are intended for manually controlled ventilation applications in communal housing and
ventilation applications in public/private buildings :
• Inside or outdoor installation.
• Environmental temperature : -20°C / +50°C.
• Relative humidity : max 95% with non condensing humidity.
• Atmosphere not potentially explosive.
• Atmosphere with low salinity, without corrosive chemical agents.

1.2 Safety instructions

• Wear appropriate Individual Protection Equipment (IPE) before any intervention.
• Before installing the ventilation box, make sure that the support and location are sufficiently resistant
to withstand the box's weight and that of possible accessories.
• Do not open the access panels until the electric power supply is cut off with the padlockable mains
power switch on the box.
• If work is to be performed inside the device, cut off the electric power supply with the main circuit
breaker and make sure that no one can accidentally trip it on.
• Make sure that the movable parts are stopped.
• Make sure that the motorised fan is not accessible from the branch connections (connection sheath
or screen protection).
Before starting the device, check the following points :
• Make sure that the device does not contain any foreign matter.
• Make sure that all the components are attached in their original locations.
• Manually check that the fans do not rub or are not stuck.
• Check the earth connection.
• Make sure that the access cover is closed.
1.3 Acceptance – Storage
In case delivered products are missing, non-conforming, or completely or partially damaged, the Purcha-
ser must issue in accordance with the Business Code's article 133-3 written reservations on the transpor-
ter's delivery slip and confirm them within seventy-two (72) hours by registered letter along with a duplicate
copy addressed to S&P. Equipment acceptance without any reservations deprives the Purchaser of any
future recourse against S&P.
The product must be stored protected from bad weather, shocks and stains resulting from splashes of any
kind during its transport from the supplier to the end customer and onto the worksite before installation.
Storage environment :
Temperature: -10°C to +50°C.
Relative humidity : max 95% with non-condensing humidity.
