MAINTENANCE

1. Unplug the tool before maintenance and cleaning.
2. Keep the tool housing clean, free of oil, and grease using mild soap and a damp
(not wet) cloth. Do not let solvents like brake fluid, gasoline, petroleum-based
products, etc., contact plastic parts of the housing. Many household cleaners also
contain damaging chemicals. Cleaning with any of these substances can harm
the plastic and compromise the integrity of the double insulating system. Never
allow liquid to enter the tool. Do not immerse any part of the saw in liquid.
3. Use care to see that the motor winding does not become damaged or wet with oil
or water.
4. Inspect the base plate hex screws regularly. They should be properly tightened. If
any are found loose, tighten them immediately or serious injury could result.
5. Keep the vents clear of dust and debris. A shot of compressed air is useful. This
will help prevent possible electrical shorts and ensure proper cooling.
6. Avoid overloading your saw. Do not force the tool. It will become hot and lose
efficiency. Running it free of load for a minute or two will allow it to cool itself to
normal temperature.
7. Inspect the cord regularly and have it replaced by an authorized repair facility if it
is damaged.
8. Lubrication for this tool is done at the factory and, except for the blade guide
roller, should not be necessary again under normal use. The blade guide roller
can use a drop of oil from time to time.
9. An authorized repair centre should do any repairs, modification, or maintenance
that involve opening or disassembling the saw.
10. Any damage to the tool should be corrected at an authorized repair centre.

against manufacturing faults for a period of 36 months from the date of purchase.
This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. In case of any malfunction of your

time. RONA reserves the right to repair or replace the defective tool, at its discretion.
The product is guaranteed for 36 months if used for normal trade purposes. Any
guarantee is invalid if the product has been overloaded or subject to neglect, improper
use or an attempted repair other than by an authorized agent. Heavy-duty, daily
professional or hire usage are not guaranteed. Due to continuous product
improvement, we reserve the right to change the product specification without prior
notice.
