Chapter 3 - Commissioning / Operation
3.1 Commissioning
As delivered, neither batteries nor the battery holder are
installed in the device.
For the initial start-up, loosen the four screws that fix the
display to the electronics housing. Then pull the display
upwards.
The circuit board is located on the back of the display. There
is a free 2-way slot on it. Insert the contact plug of the battery
holder into this slot.
Then insert the batteries into the battery holder. The device
switches on automatically and remains permanently active
when the batteries are installed.
Then put the battery holder into the case and reinstall the
display. Make sure that the rubber is properly seated to protect
the electronics from moisture.
Fasten the screws as far as possible „hand-tight". Pay attention
not to damage the plexiglass cover of the display and the plastic
thread.

3.2 Alignment of the display

You can rotate the installation position of the display in the
housing by 360 ° and thus adjust the operation and display to
a horizontal or vertical operating position of the device. To align
the display, you must remove it as described under 3.1 and
re-fix it according to the desired orientation.

3.3 Protection of the turbine sensor

The turbine sensor installed in the flow cell is a rotating part and
is thereof sensitive to all types of contamination.

Contamination leads to errors or deviations in measurement
results. It is advisable to install a particle filter with a filter
sharpness of <100 µm in the inlet of the water meter to protect the turbine from contamination.
