4.5 Automatic switch-off

This heating pad is equipped with an automatic switch-off function. This turns off the heat sup-
ply approx. 90 minutes after the initial use of the heating pad. The temperature setting display
then starts to flash. So that the heating pad can be switched back on, the sliding switch for ON/
OFF and temperature settings (5) must first be set to setting "0" (OFF). After about 5 seconds
it is possible to switch it on again.

4.6 Switching off

To switch the heating pad off, set the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to setting "0" (OFF).
The temperature settings are then no longer illuminated.
NOTE:
If the heating pad is not in use, switch the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to setting
"0" (OFF) and unplug the mains plug from the socket. Then disconnect the controller from the heating
pad by unplugging the plug-in coupling.
4.7 Additional information for HK 58 Cosy
The particular shape of this heating pad was developed specially for use in
the back and neck areas. Position the heating pad on the back so the Velcro
fastener is in the area of the neck. Then close the Velcro fastener. Adjust the
length of the stomach belt so it is comfortable and connect the two buckles
to close the belt.

5. Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING
Before cleaning, always remove the mains plug from the socket first. Then disconnect the controller
from the heating pad by unplugging the plug-in coupling. Otherwise there is a risk of an electric shock.
CAUTION
• The controller must never come into contact with water or other liquids, as this may cause damage.
To clean the controller, use a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
HK 45, HK 58, HK 125: The textile cover can be cleaned in accordance with the symbols on the label and
must be removed from the heating pad prior to cleaning.
Small marks on the heating pad can be removed with a damp cloth and if necessary, with a little liquid
detergent for delicate laundry.
CAUTION
• Please note that the heating pad may not be chemically cleaned, wrung out, tumble dried, put
through a mangle or ironed.
This heating pad is machine-washable. Set the washing machine to a particularly gentle wash cycle at 30°C
(wool cycle). Use a delicate laundry detergent and measure it out according to the manufacturer's instructions.
CAUTION
• Please note that frequent washing of the heating pad has a negative effect on the product. The
heating pad should therefore be washed in a washing machine a maximum of 10 times during its
life.
