Introduction
The Quick-serter (MMT-305QS) is used as an aid to insert compatible
Medtronic MiniMed infusion sets.
Indications for use
The serter is indicated for single-patient use. It is not intended for
multiple patients. Refer to the system user guide for additional
information, such as the intended age group.
Contraindications
No contraindications are associated with serter use. For
contraindications related to continuous glucose monitoring, see the
system user guide.
Clinical benefits
Not applicable. The serter is an accessory that helps to insert
compatible Medtronic infusion sets.
User safety
Warnings
Read this entire user guide prior to inserting the infusion set. Failure
to follow directions may result in improper insertion, pain, or injury.
Improper insertion can result in non-delivery of insulin, which can
lead to hyperglycemia.
Always inspect the infusion set packaging for damage before use.
Infusion sets are sterile and non-pyrogenic unless the package has
been opened or damaged. If the infusion set packaging is open or
damaged, dispose of the infusion set according to local regulations.
Use of a non-sterile infusion set can result in infection.
Failure to secure the infusion set in the serter prior to insertion, with
the needle pointing straight up, may result in improper insertion,
pain, or minor injury.
Never point the loaded serter toward any body part where insertion
is not desired.
