According to approval, a smooth pipe section upstream of the meter
of at least three times the nominal diameter of the meter must be
provided. Furthermore we also recommend a smooth pipe section
downstream of the meter of at least three times the nominal diameter
of the meter to be provided.
ƒ
If there is a pipe elbow upstream of the flow sensor, a calming section
of at least five times the nominal diameter must be provided.

Pulse output/contact load
Method of operation: A solenoid opens and closes the contact of an
encapsulated, moisture proof reed switch (reed switch = floating contact)
As a permanent contact can exist in the idle state of the flow sensor (no water
flow), the devices to be connected must be designed for continuous opera-
tion. If necessary, switching amplifiers such as HY BR 521 should be inserted.

Installation guide for the replacement of measurement
inserts (see Fig. II)
The replacement of the measurement insert is only possible if
the devices are not calibrated or without declaration of conformity.
Please keep in mind before installing the measurement insert:

identical nominal diameter on housing and measurement insert (see
type plate)
ƒ
intact, correctly fitted seals on the measurement insert
ƒ
clean, intact sealing faces (pos. A) on the housing
