5.2
Installation
Connect the PDU to a TN-S or IT network. Please note the detailed information in section 8 "Tech-
EN
nical specifications".
Depending on the PDU version, provide the following pre-fuse:
– PDU international: 3 x 16 A (3~/16 A versions), 3 x 32 A (3~/32 A versions), 1 x 16 A (1~/16 A ver-
sions) or 1 x 32 A (1~/32 A versions)
– PDU UK: 1 x 16 A (16 A versions) or 1 x 32 A (32 A versions)
Route the PDU connection cable out of the IT rack and connect it to the mains supply.
Immediately after connection, the green LED to indicate the power supply illuminates continually
(fig. 11, item 6). Around 10 seconds later, the green multi-LED for the status display illuminates con-
tinually (fig. 11, item 4). After a further 15 seconds, the Rittal logo will appear first on the display, fol-
lowed a further 15 seconds later by the Main menu. The LEDs of the CAN bus connection (fig. 11,
item 2) and the Ethernet interface (fig. 11, item 5) are flashing green or yellow.
The entire start process will be complete after around 40 seconds when the measured power values
are shown on the display.
Connect one connection cable from the Rittal accessories to a free slot on the PDU and the equip-
ment.
Note:
When connecting the equipment, please note the maximum load per PDU slot (C13:
10 A, C19: 16 A, UK version: 13 A).
Depending on the PDU version, unused slots can be closed using the C13/C19 covers from the ac-
cessories (fig. 9).
If installation was unsuccessful: see section 1.1.
