3.3 Safety Instructions

Before operating the scale, please read the information shown in the user manual with care. These
contain important information about the installation, the intended uses and maintenance of the scale.
The manufacturer is not liable if the following instructions are not observed. When using electrical
components under elevated safety requirements, the corresponding regulations must be adhered to.
Please never leave the infant or toddler unattended on the scale!

The scale may not be used in potentially explosive areas.

The scale may only be opened by trained service technicians. There are no user-serviceable parts

in the housing.
This scale is intereference-suppressed (in accordance with EC Directive 2014/30/EU). Under
f
extreme electrostatic and electromagnetic interference, e.g. when operating a radio transmitter or
mobile phone in the immediate vicinity of the terminal, the weight display can be influenced.
Following the end of the interference, the terminal can again be used as intended; it may have to
be switched back on.
The device is a measurement instrument. Airflow, vibrations, rapid temperature changes and sun
f
exposure can influence the weighing result.
3.4 Cleaning
A damp cloth and standard cleaning agents are sufficient for cleaning.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. Make sure that no liquid penetrates into the scale.

3.5 Maintenance and service

The scale requires no routine maintenance. However, it is advisable to check the accuracy at periodic
intervals. The frequency depends on the use and condition of the scale. If deviations are found, please
contact your dealer or the manufacturer.
