Clamped Mounting
(see item 6.0, Accessories)
As an alternative to permanent
mounting, the device can be
fixed by clamping. Only the
cable opening is drilled for this
fastening method. Press the
enclosed rubber seals into the
mounting plate of the OWS.
2.3
Magnetic mounting
The OWS 540 with magnetic
base allows the whole beacon
unit to be changed over
quickly.
The beacon unit may only be
placed on steel roofs!
The attachment surface must
be free of dirt, water, ice,
snow, leaves etc.
Attention: Max. permissible
speed is 120 km/h.

Screw the 9DX 857 445-001
fastening system under the
holder.
Now screw this system unter
the OWS with rubber seal.
The clamps must be
adjusted to the particular
vehicle type.
The electrical connection
(arrangement of the wiring) to
the DIN car socket can be
through the open window.
Care must be taken that the
connecting wire is neither
pinched nor kinked.
When not in use, the beacon
unit must be stored in the
vehicle in such a way that it
does not impede the driver
and front seat passenger in
any way during driving.
