operating potential of your Drive, read and follow these safety
precautions:
INSTALLATION - Do not use the unit as a stand alone device
and please install the unit into a PC enclosure.
ENVIRONMENT - Please do not use the unit in places with
high levels of dust, high temperature, or high humidity. Please
use the unit in a place where it is not subjected to vibrations or
shocks.
POWER - Before installing the unit on the system, be sure to
turn off power on the system and remove the power cord from
the AC outlet.
READ INSTRUCTIONS - Read all safety and operating
instructions before the Drive is operated.
RETAIN INSTRUCTIONS - Retain the safety and operating
instructions for future reference.
FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS - Follow all operating and use
instructions.
HEED WARNINGS - All warnings must be adhered to.
CLEANING - DO NOT use liquid, aerosol cleaners, or alcohol.
Use only a damp cloth to clean the exterior housing.
WATER AND MOISTURE - DO NOT use this product near
water.
POWER SOURCES - Operate this product from the type of
power source indicated on the marking label. If you are not
sure of the type of power available, consult Authorized Pioneer
Dealer.
OVERLOADING - DO NOT overload wall outlets and extension
cords. Doing so may result in fire or electric shock.
OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY - Never push objects of any
kind into this product. Touching dangerous voltage points may
cause a short resulting in fire or electric shock. Do not spill
liquid of any kind on this product.
CONDENSATION - Moisture will form in the operating section
of the product causing performance to be impaired if it is
brought from cool surroundings into a warmer environment.
If you are moving the unit to a location with a warmer
temperature, let the product stand for 1 to 2 hours in the new
location before turning it back on.
SERVICING - Do not attempt to repair this product yourself.
Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous
voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service
personnel. (Refer to the enclosed Service and Support Card.)

About DualDisc playback
A DualDisc is a new two-sided disc, one side of which
contains DVD content – video, audio, etc. – while the other
side contains non-DVD content such as digital audio
material.
The non-DVD, audio side of the disc is not compliant with
the CD Audio specification and therefore may not play.
It is possible that when loading or ejecting a DualDisc,
the opposite side to that being played will be scratched.
Scratched discs may not be playable.
The DVD side of a DualDisc plays in this product.
For more detailed information on the DualDisc specification,
please refer to the disc manufacturer or disc retailer.

Disc Tray
Open the loading tray by pressing the eject button, then
place a CD or DVD disc into the slit with the label facing up.
Press the eject button to load the tray with the disc.
Do not attempt to pull out the disc tray forcibly.

To unload/load the disc, press the button.

Forced Ejection Hole
Insert a stiff rod into the hole and push to eject the tray
when the tray doesn't unload by pressing the Eject button.
In the normal operation, the eject button should be used to
unload the tray. Make sure the power of the drive is turned
off and wait more than one minute till the disc rotation is
stopped when access the eject hole.

• Please use screws with a length of 5 mm (3/16 in.) or less for

mounting. Using longer screws may cause damage to the

• When the mounting screws are loose etc., the vibrations from
disc rotation may generate a ripping noise. To prevent it, the
screws should be tightened securely.
• When slide rails are required, please contact your shop or the

A propos de la lecture des disques DualDisc
Un disque DualDisc est un disque à double face de nouvelle génération.
Une face contient les données DVD – vidéo, audio etc. – tandis que l'autre
ace contient les données non-DVD, type éléments audio numériques.
La face audio non-DVD du disque n'est pas compatible avec les
spécifications Audio CD et ne pourra par conséquent pas être lue. Il se peut
qu'au moment du chargement ou du retrait d'un DualDisc, la face opposée à
celle en cours de lecture soit éraflée. Les disques éraflés peuvent ne pas
être lus correctement. La face DVD d'un DualDisc peut être lue par cet
appareil. Pour de plus amples informations sur les spécifications des
DualDisc, veuillez contacter le fabricant du disque ou son revendeur.

Tiroir porte-disque

Ouvrez le tiroir de chargement en appuyant sur le bouton
d'éjection, puis insérez un disque CD ou DVD dans la fente, face
étiquetée tournée vers le haut.
Appuyez une nouvelle fois sur le bouton d'éjection pour refermer
le tiroir de chargement.
Ne tentez jamais de faire sortir le tiroir porte-disque de
force.

Appuyez sur ce bouton pour retirer ou charger un disque.

Orifice d'éjection forcée
Insérez une tige rigide dans cet orifice et appuyez pour éjecter le
tiroir si celui-ci venait à ne plus répondre à la commande du
bouton d'éjection.
Lorsque l'appareil fonctionne normalement, utilisez
exclusivement le bouton d'éjection pour faire sortir le tiroir
porte-disque. Si vous devez utiliser l'orifice d'éjection forcée,
veillez à ce que le lecteur soit éteint et patientez plus d'une
minute jusqu'à ce que le disque ne tourne plus avant d'insérer
une tige dans cet orifice.
