Connecting the power supply
14. Connect the single red cable of the socket cable harness, using the crimp connectors, to the
vehicle's connector (pink cable) above the left wheel housing.
15. Set the supplied fuse in the fuse holder (Fig. 3/3).
Note
If there is a suitable constant plus connector available in the luggage trunk (e.g., a 12 V
power socket), this connector can be used.
Special information concerning vehicles with parking distance control (PDC)
When using a trailer, the off-the-shelf parking distance control can be deactivated by a switch
located in the centre console.
16. For retrofit installations, parking distance control can be deactivated.
17. Disconnect the tied-back, 1-pin black plug (Fig. 1/9) from the cable harness and connect it to
the plug from the PDC control unit.
Note
If you have any queries concerning the deactivation of the PDC system, please contact the
nearest Honda garage.
Checking the correct operation
18. Reconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.
19. Check the trailer function with the help of a suitable test instrument (with load resistors) or
with the help of a trailer.
20. Secure all cables using cable ties.
21. Reattach any parts that were removed for the installation.
