GENERALITIES

WARNINGS AND SAFETY

1.1 General Warnings

• The solar system is protected against freezing via a thermal fluid. Only use the thermal fluid provided by Orkli S. Coop.
or one with similar characteristics.
• Verify the minimum temperature achievable at the system location.
• This document forms part of the solar system and should be kept in good condition. In the event of loss or destruction,
contact your supplier for its renewal.
• In accordance with the terms of Law 23/2003 of 10 July on Warranties in the Sale of Consumer Goods, Orkli S. Coop. is
responsible for any non-conformities that arise during a period of FIVE YEARS for the collector and all its elements and
TWO YEARS for the circulation pump from the date of delivery. The solar system that you have just received should be
in perfect condition. If any defects or defective materials are evident please contacts your supplier. The claim period
is 24 hours following delivery.
The goods will be taken to be compliant and suitable if:
1. Commissioning date determines the start of the warranty period - and all potential repairs are carried out by
qualified personnel or Technical Support (TS).
2. Spares are official and determined by Technical Support (TS).
3. The working fluid will have a pH of between 5 and 9 at 20°C, and a salt content adjusted in accordance with the
following points :
a) primary circuit water salinity not to exceed 500 mg/l total soluble salt. If this value is not available conductivity
will be taken as limiting variable, and shall not exceed 650 _S/cm;
b) calcium salt content shall not exceed 200 mg/l, expressed as calcium carbonate content;
c) limit for free carbon dioxide in water shall not exceed 50 mg/l.
The warranty expressly excludes faults produced by:
a) Improper product use, or not following the instructions contained in the instruction manual and other
documentation provided for installation and maintenance.
b) Any type of overload.
c) Freezing.
d) Equipment handling by non-approved personnel.
e) Faults produced by force majeure (atmospheric, geological phenomena, etc.).

1.2 Basic safety rules

• Do not install the solar system on flat or inclined roof without abiding by general safety rules.
• Do not alter safety valve settings. Verify their correct operation.
• Do not make changes to the solar system, its components, or replace parts of the system without prior authorisation
from Orkli S. Coop.
• Do not discard or allow excess anti-freeze liquid to evaporate. Do not leave within reach of children.
• Do not interconnect or drill the solar system's interior circuit.
• Do not operate primary and secondary circuits with circulation pump running. Cover photovoltaic cell when turning
off the pump.

DOCUMENTATION

2.1 Care of documentation

These installation instructions and all documentation are to be provided to the user. The user is responsible for their
care, so they are available when needed.
We shall not be liable for any damage arising from not following these instructions.

2.2 Associated documents

For the installer:
Collector installation rules
Warranty form to be completed by the installer after installing the solar collectors.

SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION

Orkli S. Coop. systems are identified by a label. All system data is included on the label. The information provided on the
label is important for future system identification.
Removing labels will make it difficult to identify the system in future and may create servicing problems.
