Disposing of the device

As an owner of an electric and electronic device, it is not permitted by law (under
EU Directive 2002/96/EC of 27 January 2003 on electric and electronic devices
and the Electrics and Electronics Act of 16.3.2005) to dispose of this device or its
electric/electronic accessories via unsorted domestic waste.
Instead, use the free collection centres intended for this purpose.
Contact your city or municipal administration for information.
You can also return the device to Vorwerk's customer service department.

Information for disposing of the rechargeable batteries

Note! The following information is only intended for the disposal company
and not the customer!
The integrated lithium ion batteries contain substances that can damage the
environment. Before scrapping the VC100, the rechargeable batteries have got to
be removed from the device and disposed of at a battery collection site.
• Remove the batteries when they are completely empty. The batteries
are by no means not to come into contact with metal.
