4 Transport and
assembly
4.1 Safety-relevant
information
Risk of injury or damage!
The fastening screws could tear out when
lifting the conference table at the tabletop
or at the attached components.
Always take hold of the conference

table / training room table at the
underframe to transport or move it.
Risk of damage to conference table /
training room table!
If a combination of conference tables has to
be dismantled, e.g., for reasons of
transport:
 Comply with the separate assembly
instructions in this regard.

4.2 Interim storage

If the conference table / training room table has to
be temporarily stored before installation, the
following conditions should be fulfilled:
■ Intact transport packaging
■ The floor must have sufficient load-bearing
capacity
■ Dry floor
■ Level placement surface
■ Temperature range: +5 °C to +40 °C.
■ Max. rel. humidity: 80 %
4.3 Checking the delivery
contents
After unpacking, check the product immediately for
damage sustained during transportation and for

completeness; inform the manufacturer of any
damage as soon as possible.
4.4 Disposing of the packaging
material
The packaging includes the following:
■ Outer packaging made of cardboard
■ Bubble wrap made of polyethylene (PE)
■ Edge protectors made of cardboard or
polyethylene (PE)
■ Corner protectors made of polyethylene (PE).
These materials are recyclable. If assembled by
Steelcase or an assembly company authorised by
Steelcase, the manufacturer will dispose of the
packaging. If you assemble the product yourself,
ensure that the packaging material is correctly
sorted by type and recycled.

4.5 Assembling FlipTop Twin

Risk of tripping and impact!
Components and attachments of
conference tables that protrude into traffic
routes can result in physical injury.
 Keep a sufficient safety distance to
other furniture when setting up the
conference table / training room table.
Fit attachments of the conference

table so that they do not protrude into
traffic routes.
Risk of injury or damage!
