damage the legs.
3. Check the upholstery's or carpet's colour-fastness. Dip a piece of white fabric in the
cleaning solution that you want to use (see section "Preparing the device/fi lling the
fresh water tank") and carefully rub on a hidden part. If the white fabric does not dis-
colour, you can clean the upholstery or the carpet with the device. For multicoloured
upholstery or carpets, test every colour for colour-fastness.
Preparing the device/fi lling the fresh water tank
CAUTION!
❐ Only fi ll the fresh water tank with commercially-available cleaners for upholstery and
carpet washers.
❐ Do not use any high-foaming cleaners as an excessive amount of foam impairs the
functioning of the device.
1. Hold the device by the handle and release the fresh water tank by grabbing into the
two slots.
2. Take the fresh water tank out of the device.
3. The cap is on the back of the tank. Turn it counterclockwise to open it.
4. Fill it with the cleaner that you want to use. Please follow the dosing instructions for
the cleaner.
5. Fill the fresh water tank with warm water (max. 40 °C) up to the Max mark. Then put
the cap back on the tank.
6. Mount the fresh water tank back to the device.

Cleaning the upholstery or the carpet

CAUTION!
❐ Do not use the device as a conventional vacuum cleaner.
❐ Always make sure that there is no risk of the device tipping over. The water could leak
out of the water tanks.
❐ Never leave the device on when unattended.
❐ Turn off the device before you remove a water tank.
❐ Do not excessively wet the upholstery or the carpet.
1. Cleaning solution may leak out of device once it is deactivated. For this reason, have
a cloth laid out that you can place the device on.
2. Connect the cord with an easily accessible socket whose mains voltage corresponds
to the device's technical data.
3. Push the On/Off switch (1) to the I position to turn on the device.
4. Push the device forward along the upholstery or the carpet border and depress the
button for emitting the cleaning solution (9). This will apply and brush the cleaning
solution into the upholstery or the carpet. In the process, walk next to the device. Do
