Installation
The W830 HF Receiver is the ideal complement to the fishing radio buoy
W800 and W880. It receives the information from the radio buoys and
translates them into messages that can be read by a personal computer.
The installation of this unit is very easy, just follow the below steps:
• Install a HF antenna operating in the 26-28 MHz band with a
sufficient gain value outside the vessel,
Install a Male BNC 50 Ω connector or a suitable coaxial adapter

between the cable and the W830 receiver on the down-lead
coaxial cable coming from the antenna
• Use an USB cable A-B type (the same as the one used for USB

printers) and connect the USB connector B type to the W830
receiver.
• Connect the other side of the USB cable (A type) to a personal
computer in which you previously installed the W830 software
called Data Manager (read the user manual on the CD-ROM for
installing the software).
• Once the personal computer is switched on and the USB cable is
connected, the red light (2) will switch on to indicate the correct
power connection.
Your W830 device is ready to be used with the special software called
"Data Manager".
