User manual, Bellman Visit Portable Receiver
Bellman Visit Receiver is part of the Visit System. The receiver receives signals from
different Visit transmitters and signals when the door bell or telephone rings. You can
carry the receiver in the apartment or garden and place it where you are for the time
being.
Getting started...
1. Open the battery panel on the back of the receiver and insert four 1.5 V batteries of the LR14 type.
2. Press in the test button on the bottom of receiver for a few seconds. The indicator lamp on the
receiver will shine green and the receiver will emit an audible sound. Adjust the volume with the large
red volume control.
3. Check that the receiver receives signals from your Bellman Visit receiver. You can do this by press-
ing the test button on the respective transmitter so that the receiver gives a signal.
Miscellaneous
Indicator lamp
On the front of the receiver there is an indicator lamp which shines green when the receiver is acti-
vated by a transmitter. This shows that the receiver functions. The indicator lamp ashes red when
the batteries need changing.
When setting the radio channel the indicator lamp shines alternately red and green. The receiver
con rms the changed radio channel by allowing the indicator lamp to shine both red and green
simultaneously while emitting a sound signal.
Batteries
Bellman Visit Portable Receiver is powered by four 1.5V alkaline batteries of the LR14 type, which
last for two to three years. They are inserted under the battery panel on the back of the receiver.
When the batteries begin to get low the indicator lamp ashes red. It is also possible to use a mains
adapter instead of batteries. The mains adapter is connected to the input marked 6V DC on the side of
the receiver.
Range
The range between the receiver and transmitters is approx. 30 metres but is in uenced by the thick-
ness of the walls and wall materials in the house or apartment. Thick concrete and metal walls limit
the range.
Radio channel
On delivery all units are set to the same radio channel. If you change a channel in a transmitter you
must also change the channel in the receiver, which is done as follows:
Hold the receiver in front of the transmitters; press in the test button on the receiver for approx. ve
seconds until the indicator lamp on the receiver shines alternatively red and green; now press in the
transmitter's test button so that the receiver's indicator lamp shines red and green simultaneously
while emitting a sound signal. This con rms that the channel is changed.
