The shower channel must be placed in such a way as to ensure that water can not spread outside the shower
area (example see page 3). Prior to installation, the shower door to be fitted must have already been selected
to ensure that the building clearances allow the grate to be removed for cleaning purposes. The shower
channel does not need to be earthed.

– Set the drain in place and connect
it to the draining system
– Put in the protective plugs

Insert the cut attachment together
with the O ring

Use a spirit level to level the grate
frame and completely fill under-
neath with screed - the shower
channel will be subjected to heavy
loads

Use plumbing silicone to seal the
gap between grate frame and tiles

compensating screed

– Fasten sealing sheets made from
bitumen, polymer-bitumen or
EPDM to the extension element
using the clamping flange
– Tighten the fastening screws

– Bend open the mortar

– Press the draining flange
of the grate frame into the
height compensator
– Correct the position by
turning the excentric

Apply epoxy resin to the
screed up to the grate frame

Insert the sieve

Cut the extension element to
the right length


screed

– Bend open the mortar
fasteners
– Press the draining flange
of the grate frame into the
height compensator
– Correct the position by
turning the excentric

Use plumbing silicone to seal
the gap between grate frame
and tiles
Visign shower channel

Cut the attachment to the right
length – residual height at least
25 mm

Seal with epoxy resin
When sealing screed with epoxy
resin, use sandpaper to roughen
the sides and beneath the rim of
the grate frame

Lay tiles around the grate frame

Insert the cut extension element
together with the back-pressure
seal

Cut the attachment to the right
length
– residual height at least 25 mm

Use a spirit level to level the
grate frame and completely
fill underneath with screed -
the shower channel will be
subjected to heavy loads

Insert the sieve
