5. Operation

The transmitter has two input channels for con-
necting up to two mono audio sources (eg table
microphone) or a stereo audio source (eg a
mixer's master output). The mono mix signal of
both channels is transmitted to the receiver. In
addition, it is possible to input via a third input
channel, another audio signal that is not trans-
mitted but is only returned via the headphone
output of the transmitter.
Always turn back all volume controls completely
before operating the transmitter..
1) Switch on the transmitter [press the button
POWER (2)] and switch on the receiver / receiv-
ers TG-10R /1. The display (3) of the transmitter
shows the transmission channel adjusted (b).
Set the transmitter and all receivers of the sys-
tem to the same transmission channel: Setting
the channel on the transmitter chapter 5.1,
setting the channel on the receiver manual of
the receiver.
2) Feed the audio signal to be transmitted to the
input. Adjust the level with the corresponding
volume control (5): control CH 1 for the signal at
the input CH 1 IN, control CH 2 for the signal at
the input CH 2 IN. If you use both inputs, use
the controls to mix the signals as desired. If you
only use one of the inputs, completely turn back
the control of the input not used. The corre-
sponding row of LEDs AUDIO LEVEL (a) shows
the level adjusted. There is an optimum level
control when the orange LED lights up with sig-
nal peaks. In case of overload, the red LED lights
permanently. In this case, turn back the corre-
sponding control accordingly.
3) Each receiver TG-10R /1 features a control for
individual adjustment of the reproduction vol-
ume.
4) To switch off the transmitter after operation,
briefly keep the button POWER (2) pressed until
the display light goes off. Remember to switch
off each receiver OP-10R to save the battery.
If the transmitter is not in use for a longer peri-
od of time, disconnect the power supply unit of
the transmitter from the mains socket. Even
when the transmitter is switched off, the power
supply unit has a low power consumption.

5.1 Setting the transmission channel

For wireless transmission, 16 channels 0 to F are
available (channel assignment chapter 6.2). To
set the channel, use the buttons SET, + and - (4):
1) Hold the SET button until the point
next to the channel indication (b) starts flashing.
2) Select the channel with the button +
(up) or - (down).
3)Press the button SET to confirm. The
point next to the channel indication starts flash-
ing rapidly before it stops flashing.
Note: Interference may be caused by other local
wireless transmitters. Therefore, when selecting
the transmission channel, set a channel on the
receiver before switching on the transmitter. If
no interfering signals are received on this chan-
nel, it is ready for transmission.
5.2 Monitoring the signals via headphones
When headphones are connected to the jack
(6), it is possible to monitor either the transmis-
sion. signal or the signal of the audio source at
the input CH 3 (8) [chapter 4, step 4]. The corre-
sponding mono signal selected is fed to the left
channel and the right channel of the stereo
headphones. The headphones are operated via
the knob "Monitor Selector" (7) which is both a
selector switch and a volume control:
- If the broadcast signal (mix signal CH 1 / CH 2)
is selected, the "CH 1 / CH 2" LED lights up.
- If the input signal of CH 3 is selected, the LED
"CH 3" lights up.
To adjust the headphone volume, turn the
knob accordingly.
Attention, warning, danger:
Never adjust the volume too
much. Too much volume can
cause hearing problems in the
long term. The ear becomes ac-
customed to high volumes and
does not perceive them as such after a certain
time; We therefore advise you to adjust the vo-
lume and not to change it.
