Connecting to power supply
Connect the tool to a properly installed
and earthed power outlet indoors and
where it is dry.
Setting the Speed
• Switch off drill and pull out plug.
• Remove the screw (6) and open the
gear cover (7).
• Loosen tightening screw (8) and
swing motor block towards spindle
guide. V-belt will go slack.
• Lay V-belt around appropriate
pulley wheels to set correct speed
(Fig. 3) for drill bit size and material
to be drilled (Fig. 2). Caution!
The V-belt must always run
horizontally.
• Tension V-belt by pushing motor
block away from spindle guide until
V-belt bends only about 1 cm when
pressed.
• Retighten tightening screw (8).
• Close and lock transmission cover.
Adjusting the Worktable
• Loosen locking screw (9), slide
worktable along column to required
height and retighten locking screw.
• For angled drilling, loosen locking
screw (11), set worktable at required
angle on angle scale and retighten
locking screw.
• Position worktable so as to leave
enough room between workpiece and
drill tool for drill to start freely.

Setting the Drilling Depth
• The drill-hole depth gauge (3) enables
precise, constant setting to the
required drilling depth.
• Measure drill-hole depth on scale on
motor/transmission block and set
depth with setting screws.
Changing drill bit
Unplug bench drill before
changing drill bit!
Fold the shaving guard (4) away to the
side. Release chuck jaws (5) by inserting
chuck key (10) and turning anti -
clockwise. Remove drill bit. Insert new
drill bit and clamp by turning chuck key
clockwise. Make sure you remove chuck
key from chuck. Pull down swarf guard.
If necessary, reset drilling depth.

On/Off switch
ATTENTION! Only connect the
power plug to an outlet after
completion of all assembly and
adjustment work.
• Starting: Depress the green key (I).
• Stopping: Depress the red key (0).
Emergency off switch (12)
The tool has an emergency off switch
which immediately stops the machine
