Do not use the same sanding sheet for wood and metal. Metal particles
become embed in the sandpaper and will scour a wooden surface.
FITTING THE SANDPAPER
Your sander uses one fourth sheets, or pre-cut punched nylon backed sheets.
Note: Please refer to the graphic page on page 1 for tool part reference numbers
indicated below.
1) USING THE CLAMP SYSTEM
To fit the sand paper, proceed as follows:
Disconnect the plug from the electricity supply.
Lift the clamps (5) upwards (step 1) and press them outwards (step 2), to release
them from their retaining grooves.
Align the holes in the sandpaper with the dust extraction holes in the base of your
sander.Use the punch plate to make holes in the sandpaper if none are provided.
Hold the sandpaper in position and insert the edge of the sandpaper under the
front paper clamp. Press the handle of the paper clamp downwards and locate it
in the retaining groove.Keeping a slight tension on the sandpaper, to adhere it to
the base, insert the rear edge in the rear paper clamp. Press the handle of the
paper clamp downwards and locate it in the retaining groove.
Punch plate:
After the paper has been installed, it will be necessary to punch holes into the
paper using the punch plate provided with your sander. Align sander base (3)
with punch plate (6) and push down on sander until punch plate (6) pierces the
paper. Then remove punch plate from sander (fig B)
2) FOR HOOK & LOOP SANDPAPER
Fix one side of the sandpaper, flush with one side of the backing pad (3),
Then attach the sandpaper to the backing pad (3) and press it firmly into place.
CONNECT THE DUST BOX
To connect the dust box, insert it onto the dust port at the rear of the sander. To
disconnect the dust box, gently pull it off of the dust port.
