Safety Instructions for Steam Cooking
The function of the steam cooker necessitates special safety
instructions, with which you should familiarise yourself.
Before using the device for the fi rst time, please clean the
lid, water tank and fl oat. Rinse the components off with
warm water.
For the purposes of cleaning you can remove the water
tank (c). However, the tank should not be immersed in
water as it contains electrical components.
Check the fl oat (e) every time before you use the device.
It must move freely.
Warning! Hot steam
– Do not open the lid (d) during steam operation.
– You should also not open the lid immediately after
steam operation. Wait approx. 2-3 minutes.
Fill with water before operation. Use a vessel to do so.
The water should be fi lled in up to the maximum mark, but
do not overfi ll the tank!
Warning! Hot surface
The tank (c) contains a heating element and becomes
very hot during operation.
– Do not remove this to replenish with water.
– The tank should only be removed for the purposes of
cleaning after it has cooled down.
After the cooking process please throw the residual water
in the tank away.
Check and clean the fl oat (e) regularly. It must not be
twisted.
Filling with Water
Press the buttons (a) to remove the lid from the water tank.
Fill the water tank with clear, cold water up to the maximum
mark.
NOTE:
Always fi ll the tank before you begin cooking. For safety
reasons the steam cooking programme cannot be started with
too little or no water.
Place the lid back on the water tank. The closer (b) must
click into place.
The Plastic Trays
Place the closed tray on the fl oor of the oven compartment.
This is used to collect water or other liquids.
The tray containing the holes is inserted at medium height in
the oven compartment. The food to be cooked is placed on
this tray so that it is completely surrounded by steam.

Steam Cooking
1. Open the door and place the food to be cooked on the tray.
In the case of rice or similar products you should use an
appropriate vessel.
2. Press the STEAM.MICRO.CLOCK button or select an
automatic programme as described above.
3. Use the rotating knob to set the desired cooking time
between 10 seconds and 95 minutes, or select a weight.
4. Press the START button to start.
NOTE:
During the fi rst 40 seconds the LIGHT WAVE (Grill) is also
operated to preheat the oven compartment slightly.
5. After the time has elapsed the device switches off and
„END" appears in the display.
Replenishing with Water
If during the cooking process the water level falls below the
minimum mark, the cooking process is interrupted and a beep
is heard.
Wait for approx. 2 to 3 minutes so that the steam can cool
down a little.
Open the lid carefully, as there is still steam and hot water in
the water tank.
Fill the water tank up to the maximum mark. You can use a
vessel to help you.
Then close the lid.
End of the Cooking Process
During the cooking process most of the steam is emitted through
ventilation slits on the top of the microwave oven. However,
some of the steam remains inside the oven in the form of
condensation.
Open the door slowly as together with the inner walls it is
covered with condensation.
Some of the water may drip on to the working surface. Be
prepared to wipe it up.
When you remove the cooked food, use an oven cloth or
similar items to help you.
After the oven compartment has cooled down, wipe the
inside dry with a cloth.
Water Channel (7)
NOTE:
When certain (water-containing) products are cooked, increa-
sed quantities of condensation are produced on the inside of
the door, which may drip on to the worktop when the door is
opened. This is „clean" condensation!
Push to the water channel under the door so that the condensa-
tion can drain into the channel.
After every cooking procedure or after an operating time of more
than 30 minutes the water channel must be emptied.
