4. Set-up and Operation

a. Wireless Operation
1. Connect the 12V adapter to the camera, and the 13.5V adapter to the monitor. Plug both adapters into the mains.
2. Switch on the camera and the monitor ; their respective LEDs should light up.
3. Set the selection switch at the back of the monitor (rear figure #2) to 'wireless'.
4. Position the transmitter and receiver where you want to have them and rotate the antennas so that the front sides
of the antennas (the sides without screws and thumb recess) face each other.
5. Select the same channel with the channel selector at the back of the camera and the channel selection buttons on
the front of the monitor. Try all 4 channels and select the one that gives you the best image and sound quality.
On the one hand, this feature is provided because, for some frequencies, the receiver may suffer from sound or
vision interference caused by other signal producing devices. It allows you to select an undisturbed channel.
On the other hand, this feature allows you to create a wireless surveillance system, using up to four cameras with
one monitor. The cameras are separately available (order code CAMW2).
6. Adjust monitor volume (front figure #2), V-hold (vertical hold), brightness and contrast (rear figure #7, 8, 9) for
optimal viewing and hearing.
b. Wired Operation
You can also connect a camera to the monitor providing it has RCA video and audio outputs.
1. Connect these outputs to the inputs on the monitor (rear figure #3 and 4).
2. Set the selection switch (rear figure #2) at the back of the monitor to 'wire'. The position of the channel selection
buttons on the front of the monitor does not matter for wired operation.
3. Adjust monitor volume (front figure #2), V-hold (vertical hold = image stability), brightness and contrast (rear figure
#7, 8, 9) for optimal viewing and hearing.
c. Monitor Outputs
You can connect the monitor to a TV for large screen display or to a VCR for surveillance recording. Connect the
audio/video outputs of the monitor (rear figure #5 & 6) to a TV or VCR. Consult your TV or VCR's manual to make the
correct connections at the receiving end.
