3 Before use

3.3 Testing

Check if the microwave oven is working correctly. Put a glass of water in the oven space.
Switch the microwave oven on for 1 minute on its highest setting. After 1 minute, the
water should be hot.
1. Switch on the combi microwave oven by pressing the
on/off button.
The combi microwave oven is now set to the highest
power (900 W). The time (1 minute) is blinking.
2. Press the start/pause button.
The combi microwave oven starts to operate in the
highest setting and the time counts down. When the cook
time has ended the current time will appear in the display
and you will hear 5 beeps. The combi microwave oven switches off automatically.

3.4 Do's and don'ts

The door may be opened when the microwave oven is switched on; the microwave oven
switches off and the time stops. After closing the door, press the start/pause button to
continue the cooking.
The microwave oven is not suitable for:
preserving food;
heating oil for deep-fat frying;
boiling eggs in their shells, these are liable to explode (even after the microwave
oven is switched off).
Not all materials are suitable for use in the microwave oven. The table below shows
which materials you can use and which you cannot.
Warning! Only use utensils and dishes suitable for use in the microwave oven. Take
care with dishes with metallic decorations.
Caution! Remove metallic twist-ties from paper or plastic containers and bags

before placing them in the microwave oven.
