OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Additional safety instructions for
the charger and batteries
a) Use only the charger and batteries supplied
in this pack.
b) Protect the charger and battery pack
against moisture including rain and
high humidity.
c) Always check that the power cord is
correctly connected before using
the charger.
d) When you are not using the charger, remove
the plug from the mains socket. Do not pull
the plug out by the power cord.
e) Handle the battery pack carefully. Do not let
it fall or be subject to impact.
f) Always remove the plug from the power
socket before you clean or maintain the
charger or battery pack.
g) Do not charge the battery pack if the
ambient temperature is less than 40°
Fahrenheit (4 ° C) or greater than 104°
Fahrenheit (40 ° C).
h) Do not short circuit the battery pack. A
short circuit gives rise to a heavy current
causing overheating and the possibility of
fire or explosion.
i) Do not connect a cable to the battery
pack terminals.
j) Make sure that no metal objects such as a
nail, paper clip or coin finds its way into the
charging socket.
k) A damaged battery pack or one which no
longer holds its charge must be disposed of
in a special way and not placed for normal
household rubbish collection.
l) Never throw a battery pack into a fire or
into water.

Accessories

We recommend that you purchase your
accessories from the same store that sold you
the tool. Use good quality accessories and the
brand recommended by the vendor. Sales staff
will assist you and offer advice.
Fitting and removing the
battery pack
To remove the battery pack from the drill
firmly press the battery release tabs at either
side of the battery pack, and slide the battery
backward out of the tool.
To install the battery pack, align rails, on the
tool with the tabs on the battery pack and
slide the battery pack on to the drill. Ensure
the battery pack is sitting straight on the foot
and correctly entering the runners. The battery
should slide fully on to the drill foot until the
battery pack "clicks" into position.
1) Connect charger to power source.
The green light, should light up.
This indicates the charger is ready to
begin charging.
2) Position battery pack on charger, align rails,
on battery charger on battery pack. Slide
battery forward onto charger until it clicks
into position.
3) The red light, should begin to glow
continuously, indicating that the battery
pack is receiving a "Fast Charge".
4) After approximately one hour, the "Fast
Charge" indicator red light should go
out indicating that the battery pack is
fully charged and that the charger is now
in "Maintenance Charge" mode, this is
confirmed by the light coming back on. The
battery pack can be left on Maintenance
Charge" until you are ready to use it.
5) To remove the battery pack from the
charger depress the battery pack release
buttons and slide the battery off.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING. Do not leave batteries charging for
longer than 24 hours.
NOTE. Depending on room temperature, line
voltage, and existing charge level, initial battery
charging may take longer than one hour.
NOTE. Disconnect charger from power source
when not in use.
To obtain the best life for
the battery
1) Never allow the drill to come to a complete
stand still before recharging. The battery
should be placed on charge whenever
the battery is noticeably running down or
the drill no longer performs a task it
previously performed.
2) Avoid conducting short charges. Make sure
that the battery is fully charged every time
by allowing the charger to complete its full
charging cycle.
3) Avoid allowing lose items like screws or
nails etc to be stored with battery packs
as these or similar items can short battery
packs and cause a fire or explosion.
4) Always unplug the charger when not in use
and store in a dry secure place.
Avoid charging or storing your battery in
temperatures below 40º Fahrenheit (0ºC) and
above 104º Fahrenheit (40ºC).

Battery indicator

Press the battery indicator button, this will
display the level of charge remaining in the
battery. The LED's lighting up indicate the
charge remaining in the battery, the higher the
number of LED's the more charge remaining
in the battery. When the battery indicator is
showing only one LED the battery should be
removed and put on the charger.
LED work area light
The drill has three LED lights to illuminate the
work area and improve vision when drilling in
areas with insufficient light.
To turn the LED lights on depress the LED
light switch.
To turn the LED lights off repress the LED
light switch.
Operation
Using the drill
Use the forward/reverse switch (4) to select
the direction of rotation, then pull the trigger
(1). This trigger switch is an electronic variable
speed control which enables the user to vary
the speed continuously. The speed varies
according to how far the trigger switch is
depressed, the further it is depressed the
faster the chuck will rotate and the lighter it is
depressed, the slower it will rotate.
To stop the drill, release the trigger switch.
NOTE. You can only change the direction of
rotation of the drill using the forward/reverse
switch when the trigger is NOT depressed.
