NOTE:
- If the tool is operated at low speeds for a long period of time, run the machine at the fastest speed for few ten
seconds when the work is finished in order to cool down the motor.
- If the tool is operated continuously at low speeds for a long period of time, the operation life of the motor will be
reduced.
- The speed adjusting dial can be turned only as far as full speed Max and lowest speed Min. Do not force to pass
full speed or lowest speed, or the speed adjusting function may no longer work.
Switching On and Off (Fig 7)
CAUTION:
Before plugging in the tool, always check that the On/Off switch (10) actuates properly and returns to the "OFF"
position when released.
- To start the machine, press the On/Off switch (10) and keep it pressed.
- To switch off the machine, release the On/Off switch (10).
- To work continuously, press the On/Off switch (10), then press the lock-on button (8). To switch off the machine,
press the On/Off switch (10) and then release it.
Operation
- Do not control the machine's head: hold the machine with both hands by using two handles.
- Before switching on the machine, keep it slightly away from the work surface.
- Bring carefully the machine in contact with the work surface, as lightly as possible.
- Do not over-press the machine in order to avoid overloading! Press with proper pressure for better grinding
effects.
- Make overlapping sweeps or alternately in length and crosswise direction over the workpiece/surface, apply
moderate pressure, and keep the machine in constant motion.
- Once the grinding task is finished, switch off the machine.
NOTE:
Never stop too long in the same place or there will be wave marks.
CAUTION:
Take care to avoid sharp projections, nails, screws etc.
CAUTION:
To prevent accidents, make sure to turn the switch off and disconnect to the plug from the power receptacle.
Inspecting the machine
- Keep the machine clean.
- Since use of a dull (glazed) grinding cup will degrade efficiency and cause possible motor malfunction, replace
the grinding cup as soon as abrasion is noted.
- All plastic parts should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. NEVER use solvents to clean plastic parts. They could
possibly dissolve or damage the material.
Inspecting the mounting screws
Regularly inspect all mounting screws and ensure that they are properly tightened. Should any of the screws be
loose, retighten them immediately. Failure to do so could result in serious hazard.
Maintenance of the motor
The motor unit winding is the very "heart" of the power tool. Exercise due care to ensure the winding does not
become damaged and/or wet with oil or water.
- For safe and proper working, always keep the machine and ventilation slots clean.
- Periodically blow out all air passages with dry compressed air.
