safety information. It is the responsibility of the operator to ensure that he/she fully understands how to operate this equipment safely.
If you are unsure about the safe and correct use of the Disc Cutter & Floor Saw, consult your supervisor or Belle Group.
Improper maintenance can be hazardous. Read and Understand this section before you perform any
CAUTION
maintenance, service or repairs.
Cordon off the work area and keep members of the public and unauthorized personnel at a safe distance.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn by the operator whenever this equipment is being used (see Health & Safety).
Make sure you know how to safely switch this machine OFF before you switch it ON in case you get into diffi culty.
Never remove or tamper with any guards fi tted, they are there for your protection. Always check guards for condition and security,
if any are damaged or missing, DO NOT USE THE DISC CUTTER OR FLOOR SAW until the guard has been replaced or repaired.
DO NOT operate the Saw when you are ill, feeling tired, or when under the infl uence of alcohol or drugs.
Never operate the Saw in an explosive atmoshphere and/or near combustible material that could be ignited by a spark.
Keep the Saw handles dry, clean and free of oil or fuel.
Never exceed the fl ow and pressure rating of the Saw.
DO NOT attempt to adjust the Saw during operation.
Always shut off the hydraulic power sources before disconnecting the hoses or servicing the cutter.
Always use blades that meet applicable safety code specifi cations. Read and comply with blade manufacturer's instructions and
safety precautions provided with the blade. Destroy any blade with cracks, chips, gouges, or loose or missing tips.
Always hold the saw with both hands during operation. Use a fi rm grip ont he handles.
Prior to cutting, plan your cuts to prevent pinching of the blade or personal injury caused by falling material.
Never exceed the maximum fl ow and pressure rating of the saw which is 8 gpm at 2500 psi.
Do not exceed either the maximum operating speed of 4100 fpm or the blade manufacturer's rated speed.
Any slurry formed during wet cutting is very slick. Remove while still wet to prevent yourself or others from slipping while cutting.
Slurry, when dry is very hard to remove.
Always shut off the hydraulic power and cooling water sources before disconnecting the hoses. Never remove fi ttings or compo-
nents when fl uid is hot.
Always shut off hydraulic source & cooling water sources when equipment not in use.
