8. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

To insert or exchange sawblades use the quickchange lever (8) as shown in Fig. 1. Put the new
sawblade in and lower the quicklift lever. Use suitable sawblades only!
We recommend using eye and respiratory protection and connect a vacuum cleaner to the jigsaw
to remove excess dust.
Place the front of the base plate on the workpiece. Before you start the jigsaw, make sure the
sawblade does not touch the workpiece yet. To start the jigsaw press the unlock button (2) and the
on/off switch (4). Evenly and slowly start cutting into the workpiece.
Try to work with the wood grain to avoid fraying or jamming.
Make sure the baseplate of the jigsaw lies flat on the workpiece all the time.
This tool can be operated with an orbital or a straight line (up and down) cutting action. The orbital
cutting action thrusts the blade forward on the cutting stroke and greatly increases cutting speed. To
change the cutting action, just turn the orbital cutting lever (6) to the desired cutting action position.
Higher values give you more forward action (for straight cuts), smaller values allow for slower cutting
(ie. for cutting curves).
Adjust the cutting speed with the speed dial (1). Choose lower speeds for precise cutting on delicate
materials, or higher speeds for fast cutting with less accuracy.
For angle cutting open the two screws on the basepate (fig. 2), tilt the baseplate to the desired angle
and then securely fasten the screws again.
