Both the following jumpers are only taken into account if the rotary switches are positioned between 01 and
64. Otherwise, this parameter setting is done remotely by control software.
In case you use your EtherSound devices in a uni-directional chain, the jumpers MUST BE OFF.

Ethernet Audio Bridges
With this jumper ON, the ES8out plays back
the eight channels extracted from the ascending
stream; if this jumper is removed, the eight
channels are extracted from the descending
stream.
With this jumper ON, the ES8in inserts eight
channels in the ascending stream; if it is
removed, the eight channels are inserted into
the descending stream. This jumper has no
effect on ES8mic, which means that ES8mic
always
inserts
eight
descending stream.
With this jumper ON, the ES8in, ES8mic or
ES8out is defined 'end of bi-directional loop'. In
this
case,
the
equipment
descending
stream
following equipment, but it also sends the same
stream to the equipment upstream, provided
that it is the last device of the bi-directional
chain. Several consecutive devices of a bi-
directional chain may have this jumper in place.
In this case, the bi-directional chain ends at the
last device having this jumper ON.
